Firm registration on the federal SBIR/STTR submission portal is complete, together with the three firm-level forms it requires: certifications, audit information, and the company commercialization report. Nothing administrative now stands between the company and submitting a proposal.

That closes the sequence of registrations that began with the employer identification number on 20 July. What is recorded here after this should be work rather than paperwork.

Federal registration active SAM.gov

The System for Award Management registration is active. The CAGE code assigned by the Defense Logistics Agency is 242X4. With the Unique Entity ID Y1H6BYNDFL19 and the SBA control identifier SBC_002680359 already recorded below, the federal entity registrations are complete.

The registration must be renewed annually; the next renewal date is 13 August 2027. This closes the entry that stood open here since 13 August, which said the CAGE code would be added as a number when one existed.

Nine-run experiment cycle Technical

Nine experiment runs and a ten-experiment sensitivity batch on an internal detection question. Four results that looked good were discarded as measurement artefacts before they were believed.

One result that looked bad survived all nine runs. A sensitivity analysis over training size, epochs and width showed it was wrong by more than a factor of ten, in the pessimistic direction. It is recorded here because scepticism aimed only at results you like is not scepticism, and because the discipline transfers further than the number does.

Registered with the Small Business Administration's company registry. The control identifier issued is SBC_002680359. Every SBIR and STTR proposal submitted to any of the eleven participating federal agencies is filed against this number.

It is recorded here for the same reason the entity identifier was: a registration that cannot be looked up is a claim rather than a record.

Unique Entity ID assigned SAM.gov

The federal government now holds an identifier for this company: Y1H6BYNDFL19. Validation was not automatic — no record of a company formed three weeks earlier existed to match against, so the entity was established from the filed articles of organisation and reviewed by hand.

The number is printed here rather than described, because a registration that cannot be looked up is a claim rather than a record.
